REMOVE COMPETITION TO FIND JESUS
Sometimes people complain that they have tried seeking Jesus and have never been able to find Him.
They say they tried praying and still remained far from the Lord.
Seeking and finding the Lord means being connected to Him and being led by the Holy Spirit.
You are no longer walking in the flesh but are always led by the Spirit of God.
Jesus no longer becomes just a story in the bible,He becomes real, you experience Him and He leads and teaches you.
The easiest way of finding the Lord is to REMOVE COMPETITION,consecrate yourself by repenting from sin, and prioritize Jesus.
Jesus doesn’t compete with idols in our lives,He keeps His distance.
But once we stop trying to make Him compete for space in our lives with irrelevant things, then He reveals Himself to us and fills our whole life.
Satan knows that as long as we worship idols we will never find Jesus,so when we try to make time to seek Jesus, satan whispers to us to “first go and check out social media, first go and read that celebrity story, first go and finish up that chat on WhatsApp,first go and do everything else and if you’re still not sleepy by then and you’re done with all else, then now go and seek Jesus.”
And we can pray for years like that and will never find Jesus or walk with Him.
But when we get rid of all those distractions and always seek Jesus first, and prioritize seeking Him, and consecrate ourselves to Him and seek Him with all our hearts not half hearted with our minds wandering,we will find the Lord easily because it is His desire for us to experience His presence.
It will not even take a long time.
When we pray,He will draw near.
He wants to fill us with His presence and His life.
He wants to become real to us and to lead us.
But He’s a jealous God who doesn’t compete with idols.
If we choose idols He lets us have them and steps back,if we choose Him we will find Him.
Jeremiah 29:13
“And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart.”
