PHARISEES IN THE CHURCH
If there is any one place where I always find it hard to share messages from the Lord,it is inside churches that profess to be holiness churches and that is ironic. This is because inside such places, not only children of God are present, but also Satan’s entities.
Satan has planted so many of his agents in such churches to divert people from the way of truth.
Inside holiness churches there are different kinds of people. Some are there because they genuinely want to follow God and repent of their sins. Others are there because they want to show the world as if they are prayerful. They have the spirit of the pharisees of wanting to please people by appearing holy. Such usually have the spirit of religion and are full of man made rules.
Luke 18:11-12 “The Pharisee stood and prayed thus with himself, ‘God, I thank You that I am not like other men—extortioners, unjust, adulterers, or even as this tax collector. I fast twice a week; I give tithes of all that I possess.”
Mathew 23:4 “For they bind heavy burdens, hard to bear, and lay them on men’s shoulders; but they themselves will not move them with one of their fingers.”
They do not have the Holy Spirit but the spirit of religion.
These usually try to oppress children of God and stifle the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
Then inside the church, there are also those that are cold or lukewarm and just go to church because they have to or because their parents make them go. They have no connection with the Holy Spirit or God.
However, my interest is on the second group of people. Those with the spirit of religion. Many of them are usually sent by Satan to sway people from the truth.
In my experience of sharing messages from the Lord,it is in holiness churches where Ive had the toughest time. Some demanded knowing before hand what messages I wanted to share and outrightly blocked me from sharing after they found out,saying the church is already a holiness church and therefore on the right path.
Acts 7:51
“You stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears! You ALWAYS RESIST the HOLY SPIRIT; as your fathers did, so do you.”
They always resist the Holy Spirit. Yet from what I know,they still watch secular movies and soap operas. They just follow outward holiness of not wearing cosmetics and not dressing indecently.
The gifts of the Holy Spirit are there for a reason because God uses revelation to correct us from our wrongs. Many people think they are going to heaven but they will be shocked to find out that they are not.
1 Corinthians 10:12″Therefore let him who thinks he stands take heed lest he fall.”
It is not the members who are guilty of resisting the Holy Spirit, its the leaders who blocked me from sharing.
Another time when I shared messages from the Lord in another holiness church,I received attacks while right there in front.
When I shared one particular testimony where the Lord had sent Angel Gabriel to relay a message which I had even earlier shared on Facebook,I received mumurs from some people in the crowd,which would insinuate that I was lying.
However even prior to me sharing, I had been at that place for some days. It was a retreat, and the Lord had shown me that many of them there in that church were demons in human disguise and Satanic agents and they are the ones who I saw being in the forefront of murmuring, trying to discourage me. However, the Lord had shown me earlier who they really are and I think that is why He did that. He didn’t want me to be discouraged. I knew who they really are and what their mission was against humanity. They had a mission of taking people to hell and so were trying to use intimidation tactics on me because what I was doing was countering their mission.
Just after I finished sharing, the pastor of that same church went to the pulpit and started telling people to ‘test every spirit’ as some ‘visions’ were just from demons.He also made passive remarks to suggest that watching secular TV and cartoons was just OK but he did not say it directly. However,he insinuated it.
Though I wonder if demons can tell someone to stay away from sin. That would not be normal. Secular TV has many immoral things such as lying, cursing, swearing, encouraging people to live a Godless life and sexual immorality among others. It is for this reason that God tells us to stay away from it because it leads us to sin.
Many times,Ive been falsely accused of many things just right after I share my testimonies and many other times many start behaving as if you are a strange person for believing in such ‘high’ standards of holiness and no one wants to associate with you. People gossip about you within your earshot.
All these have been desperate attempts by Satan to make us stop sharing because messages of seeking the Holy Spirit and living within the will of God is a threat to Satan’s mission.
If someone goes to a Holiness church, Satan does not want them to have a personal relationship with God where they know His will. He just wants them to follow what they are told about not having artificial beauty or wearing indecently.
When you begin to encourage people to seek God on their own and to live a COMPLETLY holy life,he begins to react through those he has planted in the holiness churches to do his will.
Going to heaven is about knowing the COMPLETE will of God and doing it. Not just a part. Its about having a close personal relationship with God and being led by Him in everything.
This happened right in the so called Holiness churches and not in worldly churches.
So my main point of sharing this is that we should always be aware that even right in the church,Satan had planted his agents and we should always be discerning. It is important to have a personal relationship with God and hear from Him personally in order to know that we are walking on the right path. Some have been sent to lead people on the wrong way of religion and not spirituality.
Matthew 13:24-30,”Another parable He put forth to them, saying: “The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared. So the servants of the owner came and said to him, ‘Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares?’ He said to them, ‘An enemy has done this.’ The servants said to him, ‘Do you want us then to go and gather them up?’ But he said, ‘No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.”
