FALSE PROPHETS AND THEIR DECEPTION

We are living in the last hour of time, therefore, we really need the Holy Spirit to keep us until the end. Because, although God is causing revival around the world, the devil is working to counter God’s revival by deceiving people to believe this is not the last hour, and people are living there lives carelessly. But, those who have the Holy Spirit and have their heart and ears turn to God’s voice, know the truth of the matter, because the Holy Spirit leads into all truth and brings the Word of Christ into remembrance in the lives of believers (John 16:13).

Likewise, the Lord knew that the false prophets would come, twist the Word of God, and give their own interpretation to deceive people. In fact, the Lord knew this from the beginning, and this is why He did not leave believers without a Comforter (John 14:16-17). Yet, believers need to be aware of the wiles of the devil, and recognize his trick in appearing as a true prophet. In particular, a false prophet is a minister, servant, and companion of satan, and their ministry is called the “Ministry of Lying”. Their job is to carry out assignments of the devil, and though they come in the name of the Lord Jesus, they are not for the Lord Jesus. But, they come to deceive many, and I mean many, not just a few; while they themselves are deceived by the devil (Matt. 24:4-5). Specifically, satan has hid from their minds their ultimate end of destruction. So only when these false prophets die, will some of them come to know the truth. However, after death it will be too late. There will be no remedy from their evil work (2 Peter 2:1).

WHO IS THE FALSE PROPHET?

The Bible teaches that we will know them by their fruit (Matt. 7:16). So when looking at the fruit of the false prophets it is easy to tell that they will do anything to make people believe their deception. In fact, they will even use the truth to prove their lies, and through this means, many will fall into the devil’s snare. Because of this means, the lives of many have been influenced by evil work. Also, there are those false prophets who have no ambition of making Heaven, and neither do they want their followers to make Heaven either. Therefore, they deliberately twist God’s holy Word in preaching that God does not condemn ungodly lifestyles. But on the other hand, they stress blessings, breakthroughs, and of course, prosperity. Now, I am not saying that these things should not be preached, but I do know that none of these things matter without holiness, because without holiness no man will see the Lord (Heb. 12:14). Ultimately, the false prophets and their followers are on their way to destruction, because of their unholy and abominable lifestyles.

Yet, do not be deceived in thinking that only those who preach against holiness are false prophets, because that is not the case. In fact, I have been in a ministry where nothing, but holiness was preached so I thought that the glory of God was surely there. But, the Lord told me that His glory had left, because although they were preaching holiness, it was not practiced. Instead, the ministry was full of deception, “lying” in the name of the Lord, fornication, vain glory and self-glorification. Further the Lord said, “They talk about me, but they do not have My mind”. What a sad case, because clearly, the Bible informs us to have the same mind as the Lord Jesus had (Philp. 2:5). But still, this ministry has uncountable followers and defenders, and little do they know, they are following broad gate and are not on the narrow way, because the truth of God has been denied and even fought against. Unfortunately, they too have fell into the devil’s trap. But, there will be no excuses on the Day of Judgment. God will reward them according to their evil ways (2 Peter 2:9).

So, I urge you to be aware when the false prophets come to you with their sweet voices to tell false stores, only because they want to make a profit from you. Therefore, abide in the Spirit least you fall for their unbiblical, false stories. In fact, many who claim to have understood the Word of God will be deceived this way. Likewise, many who claim to be faithful and righteous believers will be deceived this way. But, this is only because they fail to pay attention to the voice of the Holy Spirit, and instead, will allow the physical presentation of the false prophets to deceive them. These deceived souls will not go unpunished for following the deception of the false prophets. Yet neither will the false prophets escape the judgment of God either.

Also, note that the false prophets are bold and do not fear God. But, they are as hungry lions on the prowl seeking to capture and kill prey. At the same time, they are hungry to kill holiness, righteousness, the passion for Heaven and the Rapture, and then plant the love of money and pleasure, hatred and disobedience in the hearts of men. Their mission is to destroy, pollute, and corrupt the souls of men, and to do this while not being easily detected as servants of satan, which is why they pretend to be holy.

Moreover, if any ministry tells you that unless you join them, you cannot make Heaven, run away from such a place! For the Lord Jesus said, “And then if any man shall say to you, Lo, here is Christ; or, lo, he is there; believe him not” (Mark 13:21). So that ministry is saying that the Lord Jesus Christ is only there, and unless you join them, you will surely perish. But, this is not true and you should flee for your life, least you destroy your soul by joining this ministry, which are full of liars and deceivers, the end time ministry of the devil (2 Cor. 11:13-15).

Next, you should know that the false prophet does not come in wolf’s clothing. But they come in sheep’s clothing, and even behave as sheep by claiming to be followers of the Lord Jesus Christ and claiming to be true teachers of the Word of God. But underneath, they are wolves (Matt. 7;15). Their true intentions are to snare you as a victim for the devil. Therefore, you must be in the Spirit and abide in truth, unless you fall for their deception. Also, know that some false prophets have tried to hide their true identities by having good works such as giving gifts and money to the poor and widows. Yet they operate with occultic powers. Really, they could care less about giving to the poor or widows, but, there true intentions are to hide their ungodly ways. Further, they will never tell you to deny yourself and follow the Lord, or that you need both inward and outward holiness. Therefore, if any ministry emphasizes only outward holiness, you should beware. Likewise, if any ministry emphasizes only inward holiness you should beware. They are false prophets. Yet, you must beware of those who preach both inward and outward holiness too, when their lifestyles and the lifestyles of their followers deny the holiness that they preach. So please beware of these false prophets, because they have an incredible capacity to impart their evil spirit into you, while convincing you that they are imparting light or God’s Word into you.

WHAT ARE THE FRUIT OF THE FALSE PROPHETS?

1. YOU WILL KNOW THEM BY THEIR DOCTRINES. They speak great delusions, they deny God’s Word while all the time claiming to be teachers of the Word. Likewise, they refuse to preach on unpleasant subjects such as God’s coming judgment, the reality of Hell, and subjects that will make men recognize their sins (Jer. 23:16).
2. YOU SHALL KNOW THEM BY THEIR LIFESTYLES AND BY THE LIFESTYLES OF THEIR FOLLOWERS AND MEMBERS. Understand that the spirit of a ruler can be found in its followers. So, the spirit of a pastor is found in the congregation. Therefore, when the false prophets’ conduct and attitude are unholy, and display hatred, envy, fraud, lying, deception, witchcraft, occultism, and all sorts of abominable things, likewise, will the conduct and attitude of their followers.
3. YOU SHALL KNOW THEM BY THEIR CHARACTER. The false prophet’s character is corrupt. Namely because, they are not led by the Spirit, but they are dominated by their flesh which has filled them with immoral desires. In fact, they are blind leaders, leading blind followers, therefore, both of them will fall into the pit of Hell (Luke 6:39).

Finally, I warn you again, do not be deceived by their appearances, personalities, reputations, claims, and miracles, but know them by their fruit. In order to do this, you just pray to be filled with the Spirit and ask for the gift of discernment. This is important because we are living in a crucial time, the last hour of time. Therefore, abide in the warnings of the Holy Spirit for many elect will be deceived. So take heed by testing every spirit, proving doctrines and teachings, and living a holy and prayerful life, for the Lamb of God will not tarry much longer.
