What does it mean to forget God?
It doesn't mean you no longer know God exists.
You can go to church, participate in church activities, and yet you have forgotten God because you are no longer pursuing a personal relationship with Him.
Your thoughts and decisions are no longer guided by the fear of God.You talk as you please,you watch what you please,you dress as you please,you do everything as you please without any regard of what God's opinion is.
You know God exists, but you live your life as though He doesn't exist.
I want to remind you today that whatsoever a man soweth,that he will reap.(Galatians 6:7-9)
If you are spending your days solely focussing on the passing things of this life I.e money,work, school,friends,everything else is passing away.
Yes they are necessary while we are on earth but we need to invest more in our relationship with with Jesus.There are people who are working full time and yet have a very close relationship with Jesus, there are people who are in school,yet they have time for Jesus.
There's no excuse justifiable of why anyone isn't seeking God.
Where your treasure is,there your heart will be also.
Sometimes we say we are too busy with work or school and can't pray,yet we spend hours on social media.
If you are spending hours on perishing things,you will at the end of it reap what you sow.If you are spending hours on things that are eternal, you too will reap what you are sowing.
There's no more time to waste,living in lukewarmness, because its all vain, if Jesus finds you like that, you will remain.
Its either you are hot or cold,you can't be on the middle.
You can't be a child of God,yet living like the world.Jesus said following Him requires losing your whole life,it costs everything.It is only for those people who will see Jesus as that precious pearl,worth losing everything for,just so you can get the Pearl. Don't be deceived by the deceptive teaching currently in the church telling you you can have Jesus and still keep everything else.Following Jesus costs EVERYTHING.But its worth it.MATTHEW 10:37-39" He who loves father or mother more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who loves son or daughter more than Me is not worthy of Me. And he who does not take his cross and follow after Me is not worthy of Me. He who finds his life will lose it, and he who loses his life for My sake will find it."
