HOW DO YOU GET OBEDIENCE TO JESUS TO BECOME NATURAL TO YOU?

(To better understand this,please first read my earlier post on what a holy life means)

Jesus removes the yoke of sin that made us slaves of sin and instead places a lighter yoke on us,that makes us slaves of righteousness.

Jesus has power over sin,and HE IS ABLE TO GIVE HIS CHILDREN POWER OVER SIN.But that only happens when you deliberately abandon sin and humble yourself before the Lord to seek Him in prayer.He breaks the yoke of sin and gives you His life.Obedience to Him becomes natural,no longer a struggle because of His Spirit that He has put in You.His Spirit makes you long for what He longs for and to hate what He hates.You stop admiring sin and are drawn to everything God desires.Because of that,it’s not hard to obey Jesus because you are simply doing what you also desire to.

Obedience to God is a struggle when the yoke of sin has not yet been broken in your life.You know the truth of God’s word and so know you must obey despite desiring your sin and because you are going against what you desire,it is painful to obey Jesus,it is not natural. This is not a bad thing because it is the beginning stage that every believer must go through when they come to Jesus.To go against their sinful desires because of the fear of God.

However,if after turning from your sins in repentance, you begin to spend much time in prayer seeking Jesus and continue to seek Him,there will come a time when He will break off that yoke/desire/craving for sin and give you His Spirit and His life.

The Spirit of God is Holy. He is the Holy Spirit. So because God’s Spirit is in you,He changes your desires to make you desire what God desires and to hate what God hates.When a person gets baptized with the Holy Spirit but fails to spend much time in prayer,they will soon start to desire sin.But if that person spends time in prayer and continues to do so,Jesus breaks off their desire for sin and replaces it with desire for Him.

Even if you were to go against this new desire God has now given you and try to commit sin,it can never ever be enjoyable to you and you will not be able to enjoy your sin. Because now sinning is going against your(God given) desire for holiness.It becomes harder to sin, and obedience to Jesus becomes very easy and natural.

DO NOT BELIEVE SATAN’S LIE THAT IT’S NOT POSSIBLE,IT IS POSSIBLE.I know so many other people who while spending time in His presence,Jesus broke the yoke of sin and made obedience to Him to become natural.However I can tell you that it only happens on your knees, in prayer!You seek God and continue to consistently seek Him till He breaks off your desire for sin.

Jesus does that. He has power to do that. He has power to set you free from sin and He has power to keep you from falling until the day He comes.But if you want obedience to continue being natural to you, you must continue to abide in Him,to stay in His presence in prayer.

Jesus makes obedience to Him become natural and it will continue to become natural for as long as you stay connected to Him,He is the true vine.The power that He gives you over sin is a result of His life that He imparts in you when you seek Him.
There’s no excuse to remain in sin.People only remain in sin because they love sin and are not willing to seek Jesus and stay in His presence long enough for Him to break off the bondage of sin.They are too busy running after all the things of the earth that keep them busy.So they will justify their sinful lifestyle,saying it’s not possible to live a holy life.The end result of that is eternal destruction of the soul that loved sin.

Sin is bondage and anyone who is in sin is a slave to sin and that is why they cannot stop sinning.But Jesus frees you from sin and makes you to become a SLAVE OF RIGHTEOUSNESS.A slave only does what the master wants. They have no choice but to obey the master. Jesus does this. He puts you on a one way path where He changes your desires and longings to only be for Him alone and only for what He wants.It becomes so easy and natural to obey Him and it will continue to be natural for you for as long as you stay on your knees (prayerfulness).That is the power of God over sin.Not our own power,but His power that He grants us when we stay in His presence.
He desires for all His children to come to Him and seek Him till the yoke of sin is broken and obedience flows forth naturally.Sin loses its power for as long as you continue to stay in His presence depending on Him.

Jude 1:24,”Now unto Him who is able to keep you from falling,and to present you fautless before the presence of His glory with exceeding joy,”
JESUSIS ABLE TO KEEP YOU FROM FALLING INTO SIN for as long as you stay(abide and continue to abide) in His presence.It is possible.

Please carefully read this scripture below.

1 John 3:3-10,”And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure. Whoever commits sin commits lawlessness, and sin is lawlessness.
And you know that He was manifested to take away our sins and in Him there is no sin.
Whoever ABIDES IN HIM DOES NOT SIN. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him.
Little children let no one deceive you. He who PRACTICES RIGHTEOUSNESS is righteous, just as He is righteous.

He who sins is of the devil, for the devil sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested,that He might destroy the works of the devil.
Whoever has been born of God does not sin for His seed remains in him and he cannot sin because He has been born of God.
In this,the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest; WHOEVER DOES NOT PRACTICE RIGHTEOUSNESS IS NOT OF GOD, nor is he who does not love his brother.”

God’s children are not righteous because they have never sinned before,but because Jesus has washed away their sins and He continues to keep them from falling.His blood covers them but they do not live a life of sin now that they are born again.They practice righteousness like their Father.The blood of Jesus isn’t covering sin people continue to commit,only sin they abandon and repent of.
Anyone who continues sinning and thinks they are safe because of the blood of Jesus only deceives themselves.
Their sin remains because they have not repented from it and on the day of judgement it will be a witness against them that they rejected God’s begotten Son and that is why they bore bad fruit of sin.
A good tree bears good fruit.Children of God bear fruit of righteousness.

For salvation,you must turn from sin and believe in Jesus,then from now on God is expecting you to live a holy life that is only possible by His power and by His Spirit.
So you must depend on Him. See your need for a Savior who is able to free you from your sins and then seek that Savior till He breaks off the chains of sin and gives you His desires instead.

Jesus wants to destroy the sin that still holds us captive.But for as long as we do not consistently seek Him and instead just keep busy with everything else,we will remain slaves of sin and obedience will be very difficult.Jesus wants to make us slaves of righteousness where our desires have been changed and obedience to Him just flows forth naturally because the yoke of sin has been broken and He has given us His yoke making us slaves of righteousness.He wants to take off the heavy yoke of sin and give us His yoke that is light.
