OUR APPOINTMENT
Hebrews 9:27 “And as it is APPOINTED for men to die once, but after this the judgment.”
I used to hear of death far away because it was never close to my family. Despite seeing so many graves around, death can seem so unreal to you until it happens to someone you love or in your family.
The bible however does remind us that we are mortal beings and that EACH and EVERYONE of us has an APPOINTMENT with death. The only thing that is not known many times is the time of the appointment.
Only those who will spared from death are the saints who will be raptured.1 Thess 4:13-18
When death finds us,we have no power to resist. Death came about as a result of sin in the garden of Eden and it is a punishment for the sin of mankind.
The only difference is that those who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and obey Him will be saved and those who reject his blood for salvation will perish.
To be saved, ask for the baptism of the Holy Spirit in prayer until you receive and He will lead you to all truth John 16:13.
The things of God do not look useful to many on earth but that is all that matters in eternity.
A long time ago when I read a testimony of Heaven and hell, because I was in the flesh,I used to feel like it is just a fairy tale and sometimes even laugh about it. I did not know that Satan was deceiving me.
The Lord however had mercy on my soul and allowed my heart to change in 2011 when He convicted me of my sin and I asked for the baptism of the Holy Spirit and as a result as I was able to believe in God and have been pursuing Him to date.
Jesus Christ loves us all and wants us to be saved.
Let us not take life for granted. The bible says today is the day of salvation.
James 4:14 “whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.”
Psalm 103:15-17 “As for man, his days are like grass;
As a flower of the field, so he flourishes.
For the wind passes over it, and it is gone,
And its place remembers it no more.”
Mark 8:36-37 “For what will it profit a man if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?”
Matthew 6:33 “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”
