OUR ULTIMATE GOAL
If you are ever working so fervently for something on this earth, let it be for God. It has to be for God. Everything else is a distraction.
Getting to God in Heaven is the only goal. However, so many things on this earth distract us making us think that we have so many other important goals but all those goals are for things that are perishing. In trying to achieve these other things, we often put God on hold feeling as if we can come back to Him anytime and He’ll always be there.
We should know today that there is only one ultimate goal which we should ALWAYS put above everything else and that is getting to God in the Kingdom of Heaven.
Once you lose this goal, you lose everything. Once you do not make it to Heaven, it would have been better if you had not been born.
God is merciful and provided for us a way out of damnation after we sinned in the garden of Eden. The way He made for us is by sending His Son Jesus Christ to die in our place and to take our sins upon Him. That is why we have to believe in Him and we show this belief by obeying His will which is meant for our own good and meant to keep us Holy just us He is Holy.
However, Satan who comes to only steal kill and destroy (John 10:10) deceives us that we have all the time in the world and God can always wait. We spend so much energy working for things that will perish such that by the end of the day,the only energy we can reserve for God is a whispered prayer before throwing ourselves onto the bed and going back to the same cycle the next day.
However, we should remember that death is appointed to us and it doesn’t come at the time we plan. Hebrews 9:27 ” For it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment.”
According to world death toll statistics, fifty five point three million people die every year, one hundred and fifty one thousand every day and two people every second from all age groups, countries and races. They die in all manner of ways, natural and unnatural. This should shake us to our feet to keep our guard up and to ensure that we speak to those living in sinful ways to accept and live for Christ.
Matthew 6:33 “But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”
