The worst thing that can happen to any Christian is to be denied by Jesus after having spent your whole life in church, after having prayed, fasted, evangelised, prophesied, healed the sick.
But this is the fate that awaits any Christian living a life of disobedience to God.
One of the great deceptions we find ourselves in as Christians is to think just because we can hear God's voice, see visions,or are used by God in any way then it shows God's approval of our lives.
But that is a lie from satan to comfort us in sin.
You can be in sin and God can still Keep using you,but that doesn't show His approval for your sinful lifestyle,it just shows the grace of God and if you keep taking that grace for granted and continue in sin thinking it's okay just because God still speaks to you or still uses you,be assured that on that day,you will be cast away just like any other person who didn't even know God.
" For the gifts and calling of God are without repentance. "Romans 11:29
"Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, YE THAT WORK INIQUITY." Matthew 7:22-23
Jesus Will tell you He never knew you.
It doesn't matter if you were in church for 50 years or how highly esteemed you were by people.
God is no respector of persons.(Acts 10:34).
He respects only His word.
Let's honor God with our lives.
If He is our LORD,then let us show Him that by doing what He says.
" And why call ye me, Lord, Lord, and do not the things which I say?" Luke 6:46
If He is our Father then let us obey Him like little children.
Let's not honor Him with our lips, while greatly dishonoring Him with our actions. (Isaiah 29:13)
The Lord sees things different than people do,He searches deep to see even what's hidden in the heart.
True repentance begins with a change of heart, that then bears fruit of change of actions.
You can tell God you are sorry about something and yet don't really mean it,and expect your sins to be forgiven, but they will not be forgiven because God can see your heart, you haven't repented. For God isn't mocked, and no one can fathom His wisdom.
He isn't moved by the words we say,He's moved by our repentant hearts.
And those repentant hearts will always bear fruit of repentance.
So when you stand before God,will He confess that He knows you and you belong to Him?Or will He cast you away into outer darkness as the unprofitable servant, one who was only honoring Him with their lips and yet didn't know Him….One who wanted so much to hold on to their life,to their desires even if they contradicted God's will?
Will You hear Jesus say these words to you,"Depart from Me!I do not know you."
If you don't have an intimate relationship with Jesus Christ,it's no doubt that you are still living to please your flesh and the only wage awaiting you is death.
I say this because it is impossible to crucify the flesh without having a relationship with Jesus Christ.
Only Him who overcame the world can overcome the world in you even today.
You have to repent of your sins, turn your heart to God,and develop a relationship with Jesus.
Know Him and be known by Him.
Self righteousness cannot save anyone.
Each and every single day,ask for God's correction, ask for His rebuke, ask for His guidance.
It is better to receive it now, while we can repent.
Jesus greatly loves you!shalom.
"Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.
But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.
And they that are Christ's have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts." Galatians 5:19-24
THAT MOMENT WHEN JESUS SAYS, "I DO NOT KNOW YOU."
