This is extremely important to Him, and I have seen this work for a lot of people whom God changes when you intercede for them.
Am going to share an experience of when the Lord Jesus Christ taught me just how important prayer and intercession is to Him.
I had just woken up and did a few things around the house.
I had planned to have my breakfast in a few minutes when the Lord Jesus Christ said He wanted my sister Zipporah and I to pray and He told us what we had to pray for.
It was personal things that the Lord said we needed to pray about, so we began to pray and thought we’d be done soon.
This was almost 9 in the morning.
But as we prayed, The Lord Jesus told us to pray for people’s salvation, to intercede for the lost.
So we began praying, ”Lord, we pray for the salvation of everyone who doesn’t know you yet. Please bring them to your light and let them know you.”
But Jesus told us, ”Don’t summarize your prayers. Many people are going to hell, they are going to eternal damnation.”
Then we could hear the people in hell screaming and crying in torment.
And Jesus said, ”Take this seriously, don’t summarize your prayers, pray for everyone you know individually, even the people you just see on TV, pray for them, pray for their salvation.”
So we continued praying by the power of the Holyspirit.
The Lord kept giving us what to pray for and prayed till 3 in the afternoon, we were exhausted and hungry, we hadn’t planned to fast.
But the Lord Jesus Christ told us to keep praying, He told us that He wants Christians to be strong in prayer.
So we continued praying, Jesus kept giving us what to pray for. satan and his demons tried to attack and discourage us, but there was a really high wall of fire around us, it was so high that it went beyond the roof of the house!
We kept praying till it was night, we didn’t eat or drink water, all we did was pray, Jesus made us to fast.The Lord gave us strength. There was a time I felt so exhausted.
Then I felt Jesus’s hand touch my back encouragingly, and he told me, ”pray a little more.” His voice was so gentle and full of love. I felt encouraged and felt my strength renewed and I continued praying.
The Lord Jesus Christ revealed a lot of things to us. About ourselves, about His plans for us, and about some things that would happen.
The Lord Jesus also showed us a lot of people escape hell, some were our family members, some were our friends, some were just other people. They were all running very fast away from hell. These are not people who were already dead and in hell, but rather, those who were on a path of sin that leads to hell.
We were so happy.
The Lord Jesus Christ told us to continue praying. We kept praying. I was tired and I said, ”Lord, am tired, I want to stop praying, I’ve never heard of anyone You’ve done this to. Not even those great prophets.”
Because all we did was pray and didn’t break.
But Jesus told me to stop comparing and He said,” you are not them, this is important. Time is up, the You have to pray more than ever, I want you to be strong in prayer, and Am teaching you obedience.”
And The Lord told us He wants Christians to pray more diligently because this is the time to pray and that the Anti-Christ will be here very soon and people who pray will be persecuted. He told us he wants us to pray for people’s salvation more than ever because the rapture is about to happen and that when it happens, there will be great suffering for those left behind. That the time for prayer is now, and it will be too late once the rapture happens.
We continued praying till 3 the next morning. And Jesus told us we could stop praying and go to bed, but we were fasting (Jesus made us fast) and he said we should drink only water and not break our fast until morning. He said He was teaching us obedience.
We managed to pray like this only because it was the Lord doing it ,not by human effort.And because the Lord was teaching us something; just how important prayer is.In the Bible,we read of Jesus going to the mountains and spending the whole night praying.Prayer was a very important part of His life and it should be for every Christian too.However, we should pray in spirit and not just lengthen our prayers.
The Lord emphasized that it is very is important for every Christian to be strong in prayer and also to pray for those who are not saved.
He emphasized that”now” is the time we have to pray.
