Today I learned of the death of two children, about 11 and 15.
I don’t know their lives and I do hope they were taught to believe in Jesus and live in holiness.
However to the rest of us who are alive,it is an important reminder that as parents we are not the owners of our children’s lives.
We must not postpone teaching them about Jesus because He’s the only One who saves.
We must teach our children not only to profess Christ with their lips, but to live for Him.
When I was growing up,I was always taught by adults around me that it didn’t matter even if I was sinning because I was still a child, yet I clearly knew I was sinning.
When a child understands right from wrong they are accountable to God.
Some christian parents take pride and cheer on their children mimicking worldly musicians and dancing to sercular music.
Many children already watch pornography on the internet from a young age.
Many children cuss and swear and their parents think it’s cute.
Many children know so many immoral things that they have been exposed to through entertainment programs.
The children also need a Savior.
They have a soul and once they know what they are doing, they are accountable to God.
We must teach our children to believe in Jesus and have the fear of God.
We must love our children enough to care about their salvation.
Some years ago,my sister met an 11 year old boy while doing street evangelism.
She spoke to the boy and gave him a paper with important verses about salvation, for him to go and read at home.
My sister didn’t even know that boy died shortly after that meeting.
Later on,the Lord showed my sister a vision of hell and she saw the young boy she had met during evangelism.
Then the boy said he didn’t bother about the message of salvation shared to him by my sister and that he gave those verses to his mom because he thought christianity was for adults.
But the boy died shortly after and he was living in sin and hadn’t put his faith in Jesus.
That was so heart breaking.
Clearly this boy’s mom was somehow spiritual no wonder he had thought she could be interested to read the verses.
But she had neglected to teach her son that he too was living in sin and needed to turn to the Lord Jesus for salvation.
Many parents are neglecting their children to live a worldly lifestyle of sin.
If we love our children, their salvation should be very important to us.
Do not neglect the little children.
Do not turn from sin yet leave your children in that very sin,you are killing your children.
They will grow up seeing sin as normal.
Your children have a soul and they too need Jesus.
Do not say they are too young, yet you are letting them watch so many ungodly things and satan is teaching them his ways.
Teach them about Jesus.
Salvation is in repenting from sin and believing in Jesus.
There’s no salvation when we claim to believe in Jesus yet live in disobedience to Him.
We must bear good fruit for the glory of God.
