Two testimonies of God’s amazing love
#1 Yesterday,I was telling my sister about a time when I had forgotten to pay our water bill because I had gotten extremely busy it skipped my mind. Then oneday, Jesus reminded me about it in a dream and told me the water company would soon come and close off our water because I hadn’t paid!
I was so grateful when the Lord reminded me because I had been so overwhelmed with things to do I don’t think I would have remembered.
And that reminded me of how much the Lord loves and cares for us.
He doesn’t want bad things to happen to us!
#2 Oneday my sister locked the door to the house but forgot the keys at the door.
She didn’t remember but as she was on her way,she heard the Lord’s voice and He asked her,”where are your keys?”
Then she checked her purse and realized she forgot them at the door.
She went back and got them.
The Lord protected her by reminding her because someone could have found them at the door and entered the house!
Thinking about how much the Lord cares for all of us made me wonder why we often have a negative impression about Him.
Few believe that the Lord Jesus truly wants good things, not bad, to happen to them.
What comes to your mind when you have been praying for something then someone tells you that the thing you want will happen at God’s time?
I know for alot of people once we hear “God’s time” the mental picture we have is that it will take a long time!
Many have the impression that God doesn’t really want to do good things for them and that even if He may end up doing it,it first has to take so long!
That’s because we do not understand how much the heavenly Father loves us and deeply cares about everything concerning us.
Many fear to wait on God or to leave anything to God because they think if they do it’s going to take really long or that He might never even do it.
Satan has brainwashed alot of people about who God is.
God is so good and cares about His children as a loving Father does.
We shouldn’t settle for a negative impression that satan had created about God.
Don’t believe that.
It’s better to spend time with God and know Him for yourself.
You will realize He truly cares for you and that He loves you like no one else can.
You will realize that you had no reason to fear surrendering everything to Him and leaving yourself in His care, just for Him to cover you beneath His wings.
Instead of being burdened about the things we face, we can lay it down at His feet, and leave ourselves at His mercy, trusting everything to Him because we know we are trusting the One who loves us the most.
He’s a good God who loves you and cares about everything concerning you.
You can trust Him with no fear.
And you can trust in His timing, and His timing doesn’t mean taking long,it means you don’t really give it much thought because you know you’re in your Father’s care.
I really love the testimony I read of an Asian Pastor who spends five hours in prayer every single day.
When they asked him how he manages to have time to do anything else he said he takes care of God’s business first and then God takes care of everything else that he needed to do.
He said,”I seek God first and God does everything else so I don’t worry about it.If I didn’t spend much time with God I wouldn’t even have enough time to do everything that I needed to do.”
So despite him having so many things to do,he prioritizes his time with God still.
Being busy doesn’t make him give an excuse for not seeking God.
Personally I realized when you don’t make prayer a priority, you will never have time for prayer at all because Satan ll make sure you keep being busy.
But once you make prayer a priority despite having so many things to do and ensure you spend quality time with the Lord daily,He ll ensure you have enough time for the other things you needed to do still.
Matthew 6:25-34
“Therefore I say to you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or what you will drink; nor about your body, what you will put on. Is not life more than food and the body more than clothing?
Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?
Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?
“So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin;
and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?
“Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’
For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.
But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.”
