When I lived a lukewarm life, satan didn’t bother with me.
I would pray and go to church but continue to live my life without the fear of God, believing that it’s not possible to live a holy life.
But the day I decided that I really wanted to give my life to Jesus and that I was going to seek Jesus and not stop until I find Him, that very night when I woke up for my first midnight prayer,the moment I started to pray,I felt someone pass in front of me!It was a demon.Yet I had never experienced this when I prayed half hearted prayers in my lukewarmness.
Satan was trying to intimidate me from praying.
Satan could see that this time around I really meant business with God.
I truly wanted what was missing in my life;the baptism of the Holy Spirit and I was determined to ask till God answers.
I had read the promise over and over saying,”EVERYONE who asks,receives.EVERYONE who seeks,finds and to EVERYONE who knocks,the door will be opened.” (Matthew 7:8)
I believed God’s promise that everyone means everyone,and I wanted to start getting serious with my prayers.
From that day on, whenever we would pray,Satan would send countless demons to oppose our prayers,to scare us from praying.
Demons would literally flock there till we prayed against them.
We could not see in the spirit yet but we could feel their presence so real that we could even point the exact places the demons were standing.
We never experienced this before, only when we started seeking Jesus.
We started to get scared of even closing our eyes when praying because the demons would fiercely attack us.
They knew we were baby Christians and wanted us to think it’s better not to pray because if we pray they will attack us.
But when we got our answer and the Lord started speaking to us,Jesus told me and my sister that we must never ever fear satan because to Jesus satan is less than a flea!
And because we were getting scared of the demons,The Lord Jesus asked us to turn off the light and pray in the dark so that we learn not to fear demons and to trust that Jesus is able to protect us no matter what.
The real reason satan was desperately attacking to stop us from praying was because he knew that God is so faithful, therefore he knew that as long as we keep praying,God would answer us.
So he knew the only way to stop us from finding God is to stop us from praying.
Many Christians notice that as soon as they start to seek God with all their hearts,then Satan tries to overwhelm them with attacks on every side and they feel like giving up.
Satan doesn’t want people to pray,he knows he will not defeat you if you pray, therefore he doesn’t want people to pray,so that he can have power over them
One of the biggest attacks people face is failing to pray.
Either they find it hard to allocate time for prayer and if they do finally manage to allocate time for prayer,satan will attack them with distractions during prayer.
Just when you’re starting to get serious in your prayer,then he ll whisper the biggest problem bothering you and you start to think about that while your lips continue mumbling words you don’t mean.
But real prayer is prayed from the heart.
We must resist satan and pray regardless of how we feel.
Wether we feel overwhelmed by things happening in our lives, wether we are so busy,we need to learn that prayer is a priority.
Satan fights prayer because oncce your prayer life is defeated, everything else he wants to do is done much more easily without resistance.
Even if you find it hard to pray,force yourself to pray,then ask Jesus to help you.
Then keep doing that frequently, even several times a day,you ll finally break through and find it easier to pray.

Prayer is talking to God.
You tell Him everything!
You recognize the things He has done for you and thanks Him for them.
You ask for forgiveness for sin,ask for His help in overcoming specific things you are struggling with.
You present your requests to Him.
You tell Him all the important things happening in your life right now both the good and the bad.
If something bad happened,you can tell the Lord about it and tell Him how it makes you feel..you can ask for His opinion on it or His intervention.If you are still drawn to sin you can tell God about it and ask for Him to change your heart.
If people told you discouraging things on your walk with Jesus, always tell Jesus about it.Talk to Him about it,tell Him what happened,tell Him how you feel about it and ask Him to give you strength not to give in to discouragement.
If something bad happens,pray about it and tell Jesus about everything.He’s the best comforter.When you do this, sometimes even while you are still praying,He literally just takes away all your sorrow and fills you with so much joy.
You can also pray and ask Jesus about important decisions you are making.
You can tell Him good things that happened.
You can also pray for your family, about specific things in their lives e.g their salvation,or things they may be going through.
There’s so much to pray for when we realize it’s a conversation with God.
You can tell Jesus everything upon your heart, even things you can’t tell people about,you can always tell Jesus.
He’s a good friend, always on your side!
He’s God,a great King,but He loves you and wants to listen to everything.
Just ask Jesus to help you pray then start praying.
You need to set a suitable prayer time so that you can be consistent.
Then start increasing your prayer time and frequency of your prayers.
Start cutting out unnecessary things occupying your time and start filling that time with prayer.
E.g you can start reducing the hours you spend on social media and add up that time to your prayer time.
Always ask Jesus for strength to continue praying, and pray against demons that cause laziness to pray.
If you usually doze off,pray while standing.
Resist satan by all means.Jesus will grant you victory.
Also read the Bible because when you know what God has promised,you will pray in faith.
You can also worship the Lord in songs from your heart.
Resist singing for the Lord absent minded.
Jesus wants your heart.
