Eternity isn’t something we can just trust in another person’s hands.
What if they’re wrong and we find out too late that they deceived us when they told us our sins don’t matter and we are still saved because we confessed Jesus as our Lord?
There’s a heaven and a hell and the only place to decide where we want to go is while we are here on earth.
It’s an extremely serious decision which should not be left in another person’s hands,but rather we must seek out the truth ourselves and ask Jesus to show us the way of true salvation.
If we pray and ask Jesus He will always direct us in the right way to go.
We are living in an era of great deception and if we just get comfortable because of what someone told us that is dangerous because it’s something we won’t be able to change.
We must seek Jesus on our own.
This doesn’t mean you shouldn’t go to church or be taught things by preachers.
Rather it means you must take your salvation personal by having a personal prayer life, ask Jesus to give you the Holyspirit,search out what the word of God teaches instead of just relying on what you hear others say.
The Holyspirit will start to give you understanding and lead you in ALL TRUTH.
The Holyspirit is the One whom you can trust to lead you in the path that leads to eternal life.
He cannot mislead you.
That’s why Jesus said He Himself is the good Shepherd who leads His sheep and they follow Him and He leads them to good pasture.
We must be led by the Holyspirit.
Often people ask how they can hear the voice of God.
But it happens automatically when you start to spend a lot of time in prayer.
You will hear His voice so clearly and He will start to teach you so many things.
Jesus will start to teach you and guide you what to do and what not to do,what to say and what not to say.
Jesus cares about your salvation,He ll never mislead you neither will He silently watch you in sin without correcting you.
As long as you walk with Him,He will do everything to make sure you live a life that is pleasing to God.
He doesn’t force you to obey,that is a choice you will have to make,but He will tell you and correct you and teach you.
Jesus is the One we can trust with our salvation.
Salvation is not a one time thing.
It’s a decision you make and at that moment when you choose to repent and believe in Jesus you get saved and can go to heaven that very moment.
But why the path is narrow and difficult like Jesus said is because after your initial decision,now you must keep carrying your cross by crucifying the desires of your flesh and continuing to choose Jesus throughout your life till you die.
If along the way you decide to choose your sin and stay there without repentance,you lose your salvation.
That is why the path is narrow and difficult and very unappealing to many because it’s a life of continued self denial lived in obedience to God.
We don’t live for ourselves, we live for Christ.
We don’t live our lives how we want,we live our lives how Jesus wants.
