President Obama on Thursday hailed as “historic” a framework deal with Iran that he said was the best way to prevent Tehran from acquiring a nuclear weapon.
The United States, Iran and five other world powers reached a preliminary agreement that would lift international sanctions on Iran in exchange for new limitations on its nuclear program.
“It is a good deal, a deal that meets our core objectives,” Obama said during an 18-minute speech in the Rose Garden. “If this framework leads to a final comprehensive deal, it will make our country, our allies and our world safer.”
Please pray for the peace of the Jerusalem. This shift in diplomacy is unprecedented especially coming at a time when the relationship between Washington and Jerusalem is very frosty.
