One day I was buying something at a market and the lady I was buying from commented that she hadn’t seen me in a while.
I was surprised because I did not know her since this was a public place with many people selling.
Then she said,”I know you because you always dress so differently.I notice you every time you pass by because you’re so different.I always tell my friends that this lady always dresses so modestly.”
This is something I have heard several times because the fact is that as long as you become different,people will easily notice you.
It’s good to be different in a good way because you become a written epistle for the Lord,preaching to people without even saying anything and testifying to them of what kind of life the Lord wants us to live as His disciples.
You become a light to the world by not following the lifestyle of the world but by living in the manner God has commanded for His children.
God’s children are ambassadors of the heavenly kingdom here on earth therefore we must not conform to the world but we must reflect the principles of the heavenly kingdom in our lifestyle.
This will make us different from unbelievers and our lives will reflect the glory of the Lord because our actions will bring glory to God.

Below is an extract from a message the Lord gave me from my testimony “A divine revelation of the love of God.”

The Lord,my Father said to me,”
You belong to the heavenly Kingdom. The earthly Kingdom is far below ours.
So do not ever follow the standards of the earth because they are much inferior to the heavenly standards.
Dress like we dress in our Kingdom, do not dress like the earthly kingdom.
Talk like we talk in our Kingdom. You are My ambassador on earth, Do everything according to the standards of our Kingdom.”

It is only when you are different from the people of the world that God’s holiness will be seen in you and sinners will realize that they are perishing and in need of a Savior to save them for their sin.
People will notice that you do not cuss but are holy in speech,they will notice that you are honest and they will know they need to repent.

Light cannot be light if it looks like the darkness.
But God’s children are a city on a hill they cannot be hidden.
Anywhere they are people will tell there is something different about them because their dressing is different,their speech is different,their interests are different,all their actions are different.
So they cannot be hidden.

When Christians conform to the world while calling themselves by God’s name,they bring insult to His name and cause people to speak negatively about Jesus and blaspheme His name.
When Christians live in sin they become a stumbling block stopping unbelievers from repenting because they see no need of repentance because their lifestyle is exactly the same lifestyle of people calling themselves Christians.

Matthew 5:14-16
“You are the light of the world. A city that is set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do they light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house. Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father in heaven.”
