Jesus said the people who say they would have died for him the time the Christians were persecuted are lying.That if they can't give up the simple things of the world for him now,they would have never given up their lives for him. And that those who say it would have been better to be Angels because Angels don't sin are lying themselves. That if they are not obedient to him now,they would have been disobedient to him them and been among the fallen Angels,demons.
1 Samuel 15:23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the Lord, he hath also rejected thee from being king.
It is better to meet Jesus as your friend than as a judge.
A woman who had committed a very serious crime stood before the judge in a courtroom.She knew she was losing the case because she did not have any defense.
Then she noticed a smartly dressed gentleman walking towards her.
He held her hands and prayed with her.She did not know how she won the case that day.
So she went and committed another crime knowing that the same gentleman will pray for her and she would win the case.When she went back to the courtroom,this time the young man was the judge and he convicted her.His name was Jesus.
Choose life.
