The gospel of Jesus Christ has been misrepresented by the prominence of the prosperity gospel.
That’s the reason why many people find it so hard to believe or even repent when they are told about the need for holiness.
Ever since the Lord Jesus Christ began speaking to me, He has told me how angry and greatly displeased with the prosperity gospel in general and also with prosperity gospel preachers.
If you are one,I must tell you today that you must repent and begin to turn the people away from their sin because God told me He will pour His wrath on ALL prosperity gospel preachers.
Jesus Christ didn’t die so that you will have money,a house, etc.
Jesus Christ died so that when you finally leave earth, you wont have to go to hell and suffer torment forever, but that you will instead go to heaven and live with God.(John 3:16)
He wants to give us all these things but that’s not the whole point of following Him.
We must seek FIRST the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things will be added unto us.(matthew 6:33)
People decide to become Christians because they are promised that if they do,their problems will be solved,or they will be blessed.
Therefore, they do not even know what it really means to be a Christian.
Its not about material gain, its about losing all.
True Christianity isn’t about gain, instead its about losing.
There are so many things you have to lose in order for you to follow Jesus Christ.
You must be ready to lose ALL that stands between you and giving God your heart wholly.
You must be ready to lose friends, family, even your own life, for the sake of Christ.
You can say,”Jesus died for me therefore I don’t need to do anything.”
Jesus died to save us,but He has called us to bear fruits of repentance as His children.
Jesus never ever hid the cost of following Him.
He already knew He was going to die to pay the price but once, a large crowd followed Jesus, He told them theres a cost attached to being His disciple. He didn’t care if what He said would make many turn away.
He plainly told them,”if anyone comes to me and does not hate father, mother, wife, and children, brothers, and sisters-yes,even their own life, such a person cannot be my disciple.”LUKE 14:26
He wanted them to know what it truly means to be a christian, before they decide wether or not they want to be one.
You must be ready to give up whatever it takes, just for you to be a Christian.Even if it costs your own life.
That’s how serious it is.
Why then do we find it so hard to give up simple things like gospel rap,or worldly movies, indescent clothing, makeup and jewelry, drinking, sexual immorality, masturbation, kissing before marriage, worldly music?(James 4:4,1 peter 3:3&4,Exodus 33:5&6,Genesis 35:1-5,1 john 3:6)
God requires you to giveup even your own life where necessary,
And right now Hes requiring you to present not just your heart, but even your body as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to Him.
Am just relaying the message Jesus Christ gave me as a watchman, and this isn’t me speaking my mind but am saying what the Lord told me that anyone adorning themselves with all these worldly things i.e makeup, jewelry, sagging of trousers, ear rings, fake hair, fake nails, watching non Christian movies and cartoons, listening to worldly music or gospel rap and reggae, living in fornication, masturbation, adultery, addictions, dressing your body which is Gods temple in tight, short,or revealing clothes, wearing of trousers for ladies, drinking of alcohol, lying, gossiping, unforgiveness, hatred, and all manner of sin,you will not be found holy,or blameless on that day.
Even if you are a Christian and go to church, that will not save you.
You must LOSE ALL that are not of God if you are to follow Jesus Christ.
If God expects you to be willing to lose even your life when necessary,do you think He ll accept any reason you give as to why you couldn’t lose any of these worldly things in order to gain riches and everlasting life in heaven?
Why are we failing to let go of sin?
Did we really count the cost before we made the decision to follow Jesus Christ.
The bible tells the story of the man who found a pearl. He sold all he had, just to be able to have that pearl.(Matthew 13:45-46)
And it’s a clear illustration of what the Kingdom of God is worth.
Its worth losing everything for.
Following Jesus is a serious descision. It requires one to clearly make up their mind.
Theres no middle ground.
Its either you are a disciple of Jesus Christ, with everything on you and in you representing Jesus Christ,or you are an unbeliever.
You can lie to yourself now, but on that day when you stand before a holy God even your own heart will condemn you to hell.
“I count everything as loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Jesus Christ my Lord”Philipians 3;8
Jesus cautioned us not to make a rushed decision but to sit down, count the cost, and decide if we are willing to really follow Him.
In Luke 14:28-33”Suppose one of you wants to build a tower.Won’t you first sit down and estimate the cost to see if you have enough money to complete it?
For if you lay the foundation and are not able to finish it,everyone who sees it will ridicule you, saying,’this person began to build and wasn’t able to finish.’
Or suppose a king is about to go to war against another king.Won’t he first sit down and consider wether he is able with ten thousand men to oppose the one coming against him with twenty thousand?
If he is not able ,he will send a delegation while the other is still a long way off and ask for terms of peace.
In the same way, those of you who do not give up everything you have cannot be My disciples.”
We must also sit down, and look at all that God requires us to give up in order to follow Him, and decide wether or not we are able to give them up.
Its about what is most important to you, eternal life, or temporal sinful enjoyment.
A Christian life is a crucified life.
Though you are physically able to do all sinful things, you refrain from them because you are following Jesus and because they are displeasing to the Lord.
After you decide that Jesus is worth losing everything for,you surrender to Him and the Holy Spirit empowers you to do all these things and live in obedience.
Without the Holy Spirit,it may seem hard to live an obedient life.
Without Jesus Christ,we can do nothing.
He empowers us to live in obedience with the Holy Spirit.
If you haven’t yet got the Holy Spirit baptism I encourage you to go in prayer and ask for it.
God is a good Father and gives the Holy Spirit to all who ask.(Luke 11:13)
Then we must stay connected to God by reading the bible, praying, living in obedience, and listening to the voice of the Holy Spirit.
The Holy Spirit is Holy and if He lives in us, He will make us live a Holy life.
There’s no one who can give you a complete list of things to let Go of or to start doing in your relationship with God.
It’s a very personal relationship.
There are ways you may be living in disobedience to God, which another person may not.
That’s why maintaining a close relationship with God is important because He will correct you, rebuke you, teach you, and empower you as you walk with Him.
Ask for His correction all the time and ask Him to help you obey.
He is willing to help you.
Jesus Christ is our ALL.He is all we need.
Don’t fall asleep as we wait for the Lord’s coming.
God Bless You, and shalom.
